Dr. Nazeera Dawood

Dr. Nazeera Dawood is a leader that has lived her life creating healthier communities, economies and giving individuals the knowledge to believe in their personal power to pursue all of their professional and personal ambitions. She is the CEO & Co Founder of Vendorship Inc and Chai & just Chat. A serial entrepreneur she has a wide professional network in the public sector, in business and in non-profit work.

Dr. Nazeera is the former Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chairman, Fulton County Board of Commissioners. She received her medical doctor degree from Bangalore University in India and master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Nazeera worked as a research project manager at Emory University and was recognized as the 2010-2011 ‘We are Emory, 100 Community Builders’. She is the past President for the South Asian Public Health Association (SAPHA), is an adjunct professor at Morehouse School of Medicine.

Under Dr. Nazeera's leadership, the collaborative partnerships had grown to over 400 businesses, organization and individuals through the six health promotion coalitions including the Interfaith Coalition which was formed to address major chronic diseases in Fulton County. She was instrumental in securing $9,000,000 project funding for a period of three years. She has previously served on the Fulton County Schools Health Advisory Board and has provided leadership for interfaith efforts across Metro Atlanta.

Oct 1, 2014 was proclaimed as ‘Dr. Nazeera Dawood Appreciation Day’ sponsored by Fulton Board of Commissioners. She is a Johns Creek resident and a graduate of Leadership Johns Creek and Johns Creek Community Police Academy. She has received awards from American Tamil Medical Association for her public service. She is the facilitator for the monthly chai and just chats that hopes to improve the humanitarian efforts and unite people on various grounds. Nazeera believes in galvanizing the energies and empowering all citizens to collectively improve community health.

Dr. Nazeera has a passion for solutions- and results-driven strategies, with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, use of practice guidelines, evaluation, supportive collaborations and public private partnerships for the benefit of all. She currently serves on the Review Board of the inaugural Fulton County District Attorney Conviction Integrity Unit.
