Dr. Nazeera Dawood is a leader that has lived her life creating healthier communities, economies and giving individuals the knowledge to believe in their personal power to pursue all of their professional and personal ambitions. She is the CEO & Co Founder of Vendorship Inc and Chai & just Chat. A serial entrepreneur she has a wide professional network in the public sector, in business and in non-profit work.
Dr. Nazeera is the former Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chairman, Fulton County Board of Commissioners. She received her medical doctor degree from Bangalore University in India and master’s degree in public health from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Nazeera worked as a research project manager at Emory University and was recognized as the 2010-2011 ‘We are Emory, 100 Community Builders’. She is the past President for the South Asian Public Health Association (SAPHA), is an adjunct professor at Morehouse School of Medicine.
Under Dr. Nazeera's leadership, the collaborative partnerships had grown to over 400 businesses, organization and individuals through the six health promotion coalitions including the Interfaith Coalition which was formed to address major chronic diseases in Fulton County. She was instrumental in securing $9,000,000 project funding for a period of three years. She has previously served on the Fulton County Schools Health Advisory Board and has provided leadership for interfaith efforts across Metro Atlanta.
Oct 1, 2014 was proclaimed as ‘Dr. Nazeera Dawood Appreciation Day’ sponsored by Fulton Board of Commissioners. She is a Johns Creek resident and a graduate of Leadership Johns Creek and Johns Creek Community Police Academy. She has received awards from American Tamil Medical Association for her public service. She is the facilitator for the monthly chai and just chats that hopes to improve the humanitarian efforts and unite people on various grounds. Nazeera believes in galvanizing the energies and empowering all citizens to collectively improve community health.
Dr. Nazeera has a passion for solutions- and results-driven strategies, with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, use of practice guidelines, evaluation, supportive collaborations and public private partnerships for the benefit of all. She currently serves on the Review Board of the inaugural Fulton County District Attorney Conviction Integrity Unit.
Ashwini Panse has joined as the Associate Director for Chai & just Chat. Ashwini will assist with programming, moderating, and leading the Board Advisors call.
Ashwini is the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Director for North American Clearinghouses at Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. In this role, Ashwini is responsible for oversight of the Enterprise Risk Management Program at the North American clearing houses. Prior to this role, Ashwini served in other leadership roles in risk, compliance and internal audit across ICE’s global business units. Ashwini joined ICE in August 2010 with the internal audit department. In her internal audit role, she was responsible for executing the global audit program, which included ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act across ICE’s global business units. In her compliance role, she served in the capacity of the Chief Compliance Officer of ICE Trade Vault U.S.
Ashwini began her career in public accounting at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLC serving primarily financial services and manufacturing clients in Atlanta, Georgia. Ashwini holds a MBA in Finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant.
Ashwini is also currently serving as a Board Member on McKenna Farms Therapy Services, Inc. McKenna Farms Therapy Services is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides therapy services to boys and girls ages birth-21 with special needs from throughout Northwest Georgia and metro Atlanta.
Ashwini enjoys various social and adventure activities like traveling, motorcycle riding, hiking, running obstacle races and plans to take up flying lessons in the near future.
